600th anniversary of the Congress of European Monarchs in Lutsk
The following remains to be celebrated:
600 Years of European Unity: Why the Congress of Lutsk Matters Today
The Congress of Lutsk was a landmark event for all of Europe: rulers of Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, and the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire gathered here to strengthen diplomatic and defense alliances. It was a testament to international solidarity in the face of threats from the East and underscored Ukraine’s crucial geopolitical role—standing then, as it does now, on the front line of Europe’s defense.
Marking the 600th anniversary at the state level will send a signal to the world: Ukraine has always been and remains a part of the European community, capable of uniting nations around the values of freedom, security, and democracy, while continuing its mission of deterring Russian aggression.
This event carries not only cultural but also geopolitical significance, demonstrating Ukraine’s unity with Europe and its role as a shield against imperial ambitions from the East. It will stand as a symbol of Ukraine’s resilience and of European unity in the face of aggression.
