Island on Lake Svityaz is a small forested island located in the waters of Lake Svityaz, part of the Shatsk Lakes area and one of its most atmospheric natural attractions. Thanks to its compact size, it can be easily explored on foot in a short time, while the pine forest and silence create a strong sense of isolation from urban life.

In the past, the so-called “Cosmonauts’ House” operated here — a retreat used by space crews after their flights. The building has not survived to the present day, but its history still adds a sense of uniqueness and a slightly legendary character to the island.

Today, the infrastructure is minimal and carefully integrated into the natural environment: a wooden entrance arch and small piers for boat mooring. They provide basic access for visitors without disturbing the island’s natural tranquility and wild character.
