About

The Korsak Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art is located in the city of Lutsk, on the territory of the Adrenaline City Cultural and Entertainment Center. The grand opening took place on August 24, 2018.

The Korsak Museum was created with the aim of developing the spirituality of the nation, promoting Ukrainian art in the world by presenting bright creative achievements of the 20th century artistic culture, and introducing visitors to contemporary art through original projects, installations, and performances.
The Korsak family was the founder and inspirer of the creation of the first world-class museum of contemporary Ukrainian art in Ukraine.

The total area of ​​the first stage of the museum complex is about 12,500 sq. m., consists of 15 halls and is located on 4 floors.

The museum presents works by over 300 outstanding artists (more than 800 art objects). Painting, graphics, sculpture, installation, video art - here is a collection of works of art by the best Ukrainian authors of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The ideological beginning of the creation of a private museum was the Gallery of Contemporary Art "Art-Department", which opened in April 2014 and during its work held dozens of exhibitions, cultural and artistic soirees, creative competitions. In 2016, the Gallery organized the art forum "WestArt Forum UA" and co-organized the festival of contemporary urban art "PolikhromA".

In July 2018, the Art Memorial Museum of Mykola Kumanovsky was opened, which became a structural unit of the Museum.

The wide program of exhibition, educational, scientific research and publishing activities conducted by the Korsak Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art reflects current processes in Ukrainian culture and opens up opportunities for public dialogue and the creation of new works.

The Cosmogony project is a large-scale philosophical and artistic project of the museum, at the center of which is the largest painting in the world with an area of ​​over 2,086 m2. The author of the idea and concept is Viktor Korsak, the artist is Petro Antip.
