The monument to Taras Shevchenko in Kovel is a monument to the Ukrainian poet, writer, and artist T.G. Shevchenko in the city of Kovel (district center of the Volyn region).

Monument to T.G. Shevchenko in Kovel is located in the city park. T.G. Shevchenko on the banks of the River Turia, near the majestic church of St. Dmitry of Thessaloniki.

The authors of the monument are Kyiv sculptor Volodymyr Sholudko (author of the idea), sculptors Petro Podolets and Mykola Korol, architects Tetyana Melnychuk and Anatoliy Zavorotynsky.

The monument was inaugurated on August 22, 2005. Since then, the Kovel monument to Kobzar has traditionally been considered the tallest in the world among the monuments to Taras Shevchenko.

The monument is a massive bronze figure of old Shevchenko on a high mound - from the granite, foot seems to grow a confident figure of Kobzar with raised right arm bent at the elbow in a gesture that can be perceived as a warning, instruction ... The size of the monument is more than the impressive height, and weight of the bronze sculpture of the poet - about 20 tons.
