Dominican monastery

The Dominican Monastery is the oldest surviving monument of ancient Volodymyr, founded in 1497 with the support of King Alexander Jagiellon. The monastery complex included the Church of the Holy Trinity, cells, and a bell tower. The church did not survive - it was destroyed by fire in 1850, but the monastery walls and cells have survived almost unchanged.

Over the centuries, the complex has been used as a monastery, state institutions, archives, and a museum. Today, its premises are used by a vocational education institution. The monastery walls allow you to see part of Volodymyr as it was more than five centuries ago.
