About

The Church of Joachim and Anna is an architectural monument of the 18th century and the former lighthouse church of Volodymyr, built in 1752 in the Baroque style. It was the main temple of the local Roman Catholic community.

The church is distinguished by its exquisite baroque architecture, the main altar and a stone memorial plaque from 1561 with a bas-relief of the benefactor of the church. Under the building there are ancient dungeons, which are associated with many legends, in particular about the hidden treasure of the Polish Crown. Now the temple has been returned to the Roman Catholic community.
