Ohel of Tzadik Shlomo Karliner

In 1786, the famous Hasidic leader, Rabbi Shlomo ben Meir of Karlin, moved to the city, which turned Vladimir into a significant center of pilgrimage. The tzaddik died in the city in 1792 and was buried in the old cemetery. Today, an ohel (prayer pavilion) has been restored on his grave, where pilgrims from all over the world come.
